For many people who are in a unhappy relationship, they know when a break up is coming (it is rare for people to be caught off guard). Sometimes it feels like you are in a fast moving car and all of a sudden you see a huge concrete divider in your way. If you pay attention to the signs and change what needs to be changed you can stop that car before it hits the wall.  It is the same thing when you see a break up coming at you. Did you know that you can stop a break up before it happens? By following the 3 ideas listed below you can fend off the break up you do not want to go through.

Step One - Falling in Love Once Again

It is not hard to feel like your relationship has hit a stalemate. Many couples feel this way. However if you want to stop a break up before it happens, you need to find a way to revive the relationship. If you are married, try seduction methods. When you have kids, it may be a little harder but try going out on dates. Do something that involves just the two of you. Leave the kids with the babysitter. When you are just beginning in a relationship, every little flaw is disregarded. However, as time goes on, those imperfections begin to gnaw at you. You need to remember yourself as well remind your spouse of the times you have shared and why you were together in the first place.

Step Two - Fix any Problems

It is amazing that so many people know where the problems lie in the relationship but have little desire or little is done to fix it. Not every problem is easy to deal with but it is much harder to deal with them after the fact so to stop the break up before it happens, you need to focus on the issues now.

If you do not know what the issue is that is causing problems in your relationship, sit down together and talk about it. If it is a problem that can be solved that ends up fixing up the other problems or can make your lives better off, then it is pretty obvious what you should do.

Something that can help is to write down your concerns. Do you have a problem with money? You can find a way to make more money or find a way to cut back your spending. Is it the intimate side of your relationship that feels lost? You both need to find ways to spice it up again.

Step Three - Show Your Appreciation

Many people forget to say two little words… thank you. This phrase says a lot about how you feel about your significant other and when you want to stop a break up before it happens, it necessary to keep telling them you appreciate them. Notably, people do not say anything when they have not been welcomed. They end moving back away from this person and let it fester until all of a sudden it blows up.

How can you show your appreciation?  Cook a special dinner, buy some flowers, take them out to the movies and give them a foot rub. Doing all this does not mean it will stop a break up before it happens but it has a greater chance than before.
