Jimmy Kimmel is all set to host the 2016 Emmys. This would be the second time Jimmy will be hosting the Emmys ceremony after hosting for ABC in 2012.
The Annual Prime time Emmy Awards revolves around 4 categories of award networks including ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC. Andy Samberg hosted for FOX last year, whereas Seth Meyers hosted for NBC in 2014.
Kimmy while speaking in a press release said that he is pretty excited to host the Emmy Award this year.

he said On the other hand, Channing Dungey, president of ABC Entertainment also shared his views regarding the opportunity Kimmel has grabbed this year. He called Kimmel ‘the consummate showman’ adding that with him the Emmy Awards can be expected grand and far better than any other event.

The renowned star has also bagged a place in the Emmy Awards nominations including Outstanding Variety Series Talk category, Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series and Outstanding Variety Music or Comedy Series.
The news of Jimmy Kimmel hosting the 2016 Emmy broke out when Good Morning America posted a tweet on the social media network.
Following this, the star also wrote on his Twitter account that he will be hosting the Emmys this year on Sept 18.
The tweet quotes, "I am hosting the #Emmys on Sunday, Sept 18. Until then, have a great summer."
It is pertinent to know that Emmy Award 2016 will take place on Sept 18 at the Microdot Theatre in L.A. The show will be aired on ABC. The nominations for this award night is slated to be announced live on July 14.
