The new "smart" feature was pre-announced by Microsoft it last June and now comes the public preview, the public preview of Presenter Coach in PowerPoint for the web.
It is a function that harnesses the power of artificial intelligence technology to help professionals, teachers and students create and present their slides more effectively.
It is therefore a real virtual coach that trains the user in his or her abilities to create convincing presentations and in public speaking, an activity that intimidates many professionals. Unfortunately this feature is currently limited to English.
Entering the test mode and speaking into the microphone, PowerPoint's Web Presenter Coach Offers real-time on-screen feedback to improve the public speaking skills of the user preparing the presentation. Among the "corrections" of Presenter Coach there are suggestions on the rhythm, on the use of too many leaks, on how to avoid giving the feeling that you are just reading slides and more.
At the end of the practice session, a report highlights the areas to be improved. In addition, Microsoft has announced plans to continue to add new features and improve Presenter Coach Performance in the coming months.
Not just PowerPoint, among the new features of Microsoft 365
The news coming in Office 365 does not stop at the public preview of Presenter Coach in PowerPoint for the web. Microsoft has also announced new options in the features of Inking, of ink, in Office for the web. Now you can present in PowerPoint for the web and draw and annotate in real time, making a laser pointer unnecessary to highlight or indicate important information.
Moreover, with the new Ink Replay feature in the presentation, the stroke appears little by little, to give life to high impact animations in the Slide Show. Ink Replay animations on PowerPoint for Windows and Mac, as well as annotations with the digital pen in the Slide Show on PowerPoint for the web, are currently available for Office Insiders.
The new templates in Microsoft Whiteboard help you collaborate more effectively, for example in brainstorming sessions or in updating the team on the status of a project. These templates allow you to organize more productive meetings and offer predefined layouts that provide a structure ready to be used. The Microsoft Whiteboard templates are now in public preview for Windows 10 and will be implemented on iOS over the next few days.
Finally, based on the feedback received from the Office community, Microsoft has added a series of 23 3D models for education and 10 lesson plans on topics such as geology, biology, space and others, which help teachers and professors transmit information to students in a more understandable and engaging way.
New 3D models and lesson plans are generally available for Office 365 subscribers on Windows, inform Microsoft.
