Ann Coulter, Jon Stewart, Rush Limbaugh & the goofball on Fox News

I was just watching Ann Coulter's defense of Mark Foley on YouTube. I had an overwhelming urge to reach through my computer, grab Coulter's face, and smack her head like Curley on The Three Stooges till her head spun off. That is a beautiful vision isn't it?

Anyway.....from a career strategy perspective, I offer the following:

1. If your goal is notoriety, then Ann Coulter is queen. And what price does she ultimately pay? However, is she authentic and genuine or playing to the camera and to the press?

2. If she is indeed genuine, then I am aghast and disgusted that we as a nation, as a country......not as a global community.....but as one country are not more unanimous in our uproar of an individual that publicly supports anyone from causing lascivious harm to young men. I have three sons and I have to tell you.........its enrages me to think that Ann Coulter treats Mark Foley issue in such a cavalier manner. Who are these people and what has happened to our country?

Who you are professionally is who you are personally. You cannot take off a mask at the end of the day and say, OK,m this is who I am going to be. Your character is one made of your thoughts and actions.

Enron happened because people feared Andrew Fastow. You chose every day whether or not you will do the right thing. Are you a coward or are you courageous? And it is by our integrity that we determine who we are.

When people say that maintaining employment is their paramount concern, my response is that is an easy cop out.

There are cheap people in this world. Like Rush Limbaugh, the goof ball on Fox News, and Ann Coulter. When I say cheap I mean they seek notoriety for the sake of notoriety. Not for doing the right thing.

However, if you want to watch someone who will continue to ascend in his career, then watch Jon Stewart. Why? Because you can see his integrity in every comedic sketch, and his ability to connect the dots. The other three clowns seek cheap short thrills, with no integrity.

All you need do is think of the most recent issue as it relates to Michael J. Fox and Limbaugh. Just tacky and crass. The truth of the matter is Jon Stewart far more talented than the other three clowns will ever be.

You want longevitity in your career and that starts and ends with integrity. Think turtle. The truth of the matter is that the journey is so much sweeter when you aren't in a hurry.

All you have to do is spend 20 minutes watching Jon Stewart and you see a class act!
Politics, news, education, economics, finance, work, business is inter-related. Its called the world at large. And each one of us contributes to every piece of it. So go out there..........and contribute to our world in a big way.
